The Ultimate 20 Electronic Mailing List

Chris McGraw, the co-owner of Ultimate 20 #84, Loose Ends, has established an email list for the Class Association. More than 400 sailors (U20 owners, crew, wannabes, and others who are interested in the class) are currently signed up. Well over 2000 messages have been posted, discussing a host of topics ranging from boat names to and tuning and trailing and sailing, as well as spirited debates about such issues as our owner/driver rule (which passed as an amendment after that debate last year) and open vs. one-loft sailmaking. There have been "can you top this" yarns about world record broaches, etc., a JPEG picture or two, and even some prayers for U20 sailors and their boats threatened by Hurricanes. We encourage everyone who is interested to subscribe to the U20 list and become involved.

A mailing list allows a group of people interested in a common subject to communicate via email. Our U20 mailing list provides a forum for the discussion of any U20 or sailing-related topic. For those not familiar with mailing lists, a list server allows individuals to communicate by email through a central node. Subscription is free and consists of sending an email requesting membership to the list. Once you are subscribed to the list you will receive all mail sent to the list by other list members. Similarly, any mail you send to the list will be distributed to the other list members.

Our goal is to have a very active exchange of ideas, tips, questions, debates, etc. We hope to talk to you soon on the U20 list.
